Decision

RESOLVED: that

1)    The Executive request consent from West Surrey Shadow Authority to enter into a Conditional Purchase Agreement for the acquisition of two parcels of land at Hale Road, Farnham as shown edged blue on the site plan at Appendix 1, in accordance with the Heads of Terms set out in Appendix 3.

Subject to approval being received from West Surrey Shadow Authority, the Executive RESOLVED that:-

2)    Delegated authority to enter into a Conditional Purchase Agreement for the acquisition of the land to the Director of Assets and Property in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Assets and Property be approved, along with authority to the Director to take all associated steps including agreeing minor amendments to the Heads of Terms set out in Appendix 2.

3)    Delegated authority for setting up a SANG charging schedule for the SANG land to the Director of Planning in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Finance and the Portfolio Holder for Planning be approved.

4)    Delegate authority for the establishment and ongoing management of the SANG land to the Director of Greenspaces be approved.

5)    Delegated authority to the Director of Greenspaces to make a planning application for change of use the land to permit it to be used for SANG provision be approved.

Subject to approval being received from West Surrey Shadow Authority, that the Executive RECOMMENDS that Council RESOLVE to:-

6)    Approve a supplementary estimate of £2,055,712 to cover the cost of purchase and set up of the SANG site, to be funded from reserves as set out in paragraph 12.1.2.
