The Overview & Scrutiny Committee is responsible for overseeing the work of the Mayor and the West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) to ensure decision-makers are held accountable and that decisions are improved. It can make recommendations to the WMCA Board and other committees, and call in decisions for further review. The committee's remit covers all WMCA functions except transport, scrutinising planned, ongoing, and implemented activities.
