Interim Executive Director of Policy and Strategy approved the establishment of the Changing Future Programmes 2026-2029 and the acceptance and deployment of up to £8.234m MHCLG grant funding on 03/08/2026. This included allocating grant funding to Birmingham City Council, Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council, and City of Wolverhampton Council, and creating four new grant-funded roles. The programme is subject to annual confirmation of funding, incorporation of assurance provisions into grant agreements, and implementation of recruitment, governance, monitoring, and risk management arrangements.
