Purpose

This report is seeking £12.8m from CRSTS funding to deliver the schsme.

Decision

Resolved that:

1. A funding allocation of £12.8m from the City Regions Sustainable Transport Settlement (CRSTS) and the Transport for the City Regions (TCR) programmes to Birmingham City Council for delivery of the A45 Coventry Road Cycle Route Phase 2 project, as set out at Section 5 of the report be approved.
2. Authority be delegated to the WMCA Executive Director, Transport for the West Midlands to agree suitable terms and conditions to apply the grant award as set out Section 5 of the report.
3. A progress report be submitted to Investment Board in due course to provide oversight of the delivery of the project and the collaboration group of the two local authorities.
4. The changes to funding allocations for the East Birmingham to Solihull Corridor (Bordesley Green) and Birmingham Snow Hill Growth schemes proposed to fund the A45 Phase 2 scheme be noted.
