The Strategic Planning Committee is responsible for decisions on significant town and country planning matters within West Northamptonshire. This includes large-scale housing developments of 200 homes or more, commercial developments exceeding 10,000 square metres, and other strategically important projects identified by council officers. The committee also handles applications where public representations or consultee responses make it inappropriate for delegated powers to be exercised. Its remit is focused on major development control and strategic planning applications.
