RESOLVED: Cabinet;
Granted approval and sign off
the partnership agreement which includes the new service delivery
model and the proposed service specifications for the 0-19 Health
Visiting and School Nursing Service from 1st April 2025.
REASONS RESOLVED:
1.
The 0-19 HCP service is a local authority mandatory
service that supports the improvements of health and wellbeing
outcomes of children, young people, and families. Under the terms
of the Health and Social Care Act 2012, WNC is required to provide
the service to all children and families living in West
Northants.
2.
The recommended course of action is the most
cost-effective, which will enable WNC to integrate the 0-19
services with children services and family hubs and aligns with the
0-19 Health Needs Assessment recommendations.
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS:
The new service model is
informed by the recommendations arising from the 0-19 Health Needs
assessment, which included an extensive consultation process with
professionals, system partners and children, young people, and
their families
