To award 3 waste contracts, which will replace
existing arrangements from 31 March 2025:
(1) to award a contract to treat the Council's residual waste to
Thalia Waste Management.
(2) to award a contract to manage the Council's Household Waste
Recycling Centres to FCC Waste Services
(3) to award a contract to provide waste transfer facilities for
dry mixed recyclables and residual waste to Material Change
Composting limited
Reasons for the decision
Existing contracts are due to end 31 March
2025 and new arrangements are necessary in order for the Council to
fulfil its statutory duties under the Environmental Protection Act
1990.
The Contracts have been procured via competitive and compliant
processes and are considered good value for money.
