RESOLVED: Cabinet:
·      
Noted the contents of the attachment and approve the
adoption of this refreshed version of the Public Health Framework,
going forward.
·      
Noted that any spend above £500k and which is
deemed a key decision, would be recommended to Cabinet for approval
in the usual way.
 
REASONS RESOLVED:
Bringing forward this paper to
Cabinet ensures there is complete awareness and transparency around
the usage of the Public Health Grant and conditions by which it
should be spent. It is also to ensure a clear governance process is
in place and communicated effectively.
 
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS:
Since the Framework was
developed in 2023, a number of changes and improvements have
been
made to strengthen the
governance processes around the Public Health reserve spend.
These
were identified primarily as a
result of the settling period, post disaggregation from
North
Northants Council, and have
continued to evolve as Public Health has embedded within
West
Northants culture and
practices.
