RESOLVED: Cabinet approved the
Estate Strategy as detailed in this report and within Appendix
1.
 
REASONS RESOLVED:
 
1.    
The proposed strategy is the most cost-effective way
to manage Council assets, maximising value and ensures that assets
serve community interests effectively.
2.    
The Council will be better positioned to meet
legislative requirements and enhance the benefits to the
community.
3.    
The recommendations are consistent with previous
decisions regarding asset optimisation and community
engagement.
 
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS:
It is a core principle of the
strategy that all options are considered with services before
making any decision to dispose of a property or site.
