RESOLVED:
Cabinet;
1.
Approved the procurement of a Non-School Alternative
Provision framework.
2.
Approved a proposed contract term of 3 years with an option
to extend for up to a further 2 years, resulting in a maximum
framework duration of 5 years.
3.
Provided delegated authority to the Director of
Children’s Services, in discussion with the Cabinet Member
for Children, Families and Education, to make any decision
necessary to ensure a successful procurement process and to
finalise and execute all contractual documentation following the
tender, making only those changes which are essential and not
materially alter the scope or value of the procurement.
REASONS
RESOLVED:
a)
Be compliant with procurement regulations for future
commissioning of Non-School alternative provision.
b)
have robust quality assurance processes that meet the
required national standards set out by the DfE.
c)
have a stable pricing structure throughout the term of the
framework
d)
align the framework with the priorities set out in the West
Northants SEND and AP strategy.
ALTERNATIVE
OPTIONS:
The introduction
of a framework will enable WNC to comply with procurement
regulations and improve contractual oversight to ensure all
alternative provisions are of high quality and meet the required
national standards.
The recommendation
