Decision

The Planning Policy Committee:

a)     Noted the responses received to the draft Infrastructure and Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document consultation as summarised in Appendix B 

b)     Adopted the West Northamptonshire Infrastructure and Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document 2026

c)     Agreed to the revocation of the three existing developer contributions Supplementary Planning Documents – The Daventry District Infrastructure and Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document (Adopted 2013), The Northampton Borough Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (Adopted February 2013) and the South Northamptonshire Council Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document (adopted December 2010). 

d)     This new SPD will replace those SPDs, together with specified parts of adopted Housing SPDs.

e)     Delegated to the Head of Planning Policy and Specialist Services authority to make minor editorial and presentational changes to the Infrastructure and Developer Contributions Supplementary Planning Document prior to publication.

f)       Agreed to update contribution SP1 to amend the maintenance cost period from 25 to 10 years.
