Decision

RESOLVED that Cabinet: Approved the increased expenditure, as set out in the Exempt Appendix, for the project, aligning to Option 1 to enable the works associated with the Delivery Strategy to be completed in full, funded by existing approved budgets, where adequate headroom exists to accommodate increase expenditure.   

REAONS RESOLVED:

1. The recommendation on increased project expenditure will enable the delivery of the previously approved Delivery Strategy regarding providing a serviced site and associated infrastructure works. To stop short of completing works has an immediate and adverse impact on the sale of the sites and capital receipts.  
     
2. Approving the increased expenditure will mean that the sale of the land parcels can proceed, and the approved Delivery Strategy can be fully implemented.  
    
3. Approving the increased expenditure is the only option that will mitigate the risks that are identified within this report and the Exempt Appendix.  

ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS:

Option 1 – Agree an increase to the overall expenditure as set out in the Exempt Appendix

Option 2 –   Do not agree the additional expenditure as set out in the Exempt Appendix
