RESOLVED: Cabinet:
1.    
Noted the contents of this report.
2.    
Approved the commencement of an 8 week public
consultation process to allow for feedback to be sought on the
proposed introduction of a WNC Direct Payments Policy including the
introduction of Transport Direct Payments and changes to Carers
Direct Payments.
 
REASONS RESOLVED: To
enable:

      
i.         
WNC to meet its statutory duties under the Care Act
2014.

     
ii.         
WNC to have sufficient feedback to enable the
creation and implementation of a Direct Payments Policy.
 
ALTERNATIVE OPTIONS:
If the Council did not explore
this option, potential financial mitigations would not be realised
and WNC would continue to overspend in meeting its statutory
responsibility.
