Purpose

The Council is required to adopt a new
Homelessness Reduction and Rough Sleeping Strategy in
2024.  It is proposed that the Housing
Strategy is combined with the Homelessness Reduction and Rough
Sleeping Strategy to form a single strategy document.  All local authorities have a statutory duty to
produce a homelessness reduction and rough sleeping strategy every
five years.
 
Therefore, the Portfolio Holder for Housing
will be asked to approve the public and stakeholder consultation
and engagement on the new Housing, Homelessness Reduction and Rough
Sleeping Strategy.

That the public and stakeholder
consultation and engagement on the new Housing, Homelessness
Reduction and Rough Sleeping Strategy, as set out in report number
CAB/WS/24/003, be approved.
