Purpose

The Cabinet will be asked to consider and
approve interim changes to the Council’s Taxi andPrivate Hire
Vehicle Policy around taxi age limits, prior to a further review of
the policy being undertaken later in the year.

Resolved:
 
That:
1.          
The removal of the planned introduction of 15-year
maximum age requirement on renewal for existing licensed vehicles
(Taxi and Private Hire) from April 2025 be approved.
 
2.          
The Licensing Authority to undertake a full review
of the Taxi and Private Hire Vehicle Policy be approved.
