The Director, Inclusive Economy, Skills & Culture approved recommendations for Construction Industry Placement funding to six West Yorkshire Further Education colleges for the 2026/27 academic year and approved indicative allocations for 2027/28 and 2028/29 on 17/08/2026. This decision authorises the issue of funding to Bradford College, Calderdale College, Heart of Yorkshire Education Group, Kirklees College, Leeds College of Building, and Luminate Education Group via existing grant funding arrangements.

The Combined Authority Board approved the calendar of meetings for the West Yorkshire Combined Authority and its committees for 2026-27 on 25 June 2026.

The Governance and Audit Committee noted the update report from the External Auditors, Forvis Mazars, on 2 July 2026.

The Transport Committee approved the minutes of its meeting held on 29 October 2025 on 29 January 2026. The committee also supported the decision to withdraw the "Your Next Bus" SMS service from 1 April 2026, subject to appropriate communication and mitigation measures. Additionally, the committee noted the contents of the submitted report on rail operations and recommended the adoption of the post-consultation draft Mayor's West Yorkshire Local Transport Plan. The committee also recommended potential further interventions to improve safety on the public transport network.

The Weaver Network Board was asked to note the contents of the Bus Performance Quarterly Update report on 23 July 2026.

The Investment Board approved that the Business Support Infrastructure (Ecosystem) scheme proceeds through decision points 2-4 and work commences on activity 5, approving funding of up to £7,000,000 on 16 July 2026. The board also approved that the Business Support Infrastructure (Local Authority Framework) scheme proceeds through decision points 2-4 and work commences on activity 5, approving funding of up to £9,200,000. Furthermore, the board approved that the West Yorkshire Supply Chain Programme proceeds through decision points 2-4 and work commences on activity 5, approving funding of £2,000,000.
