The Executive Director, Transport approved the commencement of a competitive procurement process for Round Two West Yorkshire Combined Authority Bus Franchising contracts on 01/07/2026. This approval includes the right to procure, award, and enter into contracts with successful suppliers. The decision is required to ensure round two of franchised services commences in Winter 2028.

The Combined Authority Board approved amendments to its constitutional arrangements on 25/06/2026. The Board also approved a change request for the Brighouse Flood Alleviation Scheme Phase 1, extending its delivery timeframe to 31 March 2028 and removing the Phoenix Bridge element.
