The scheme will support individuals with health barriers to remain in or return to work. Future approvals will follow the established assurance pathway, approval route, and tolerances.

The Combined Authority Board approved the making and submission of a Compulsory Purchase Order for the bus franchising programme on 30/07/2026. This authorises the compulsory purchase of land for bus depots and associated operational assets. The Chief Executive is authorised to finalise and submit the order, progress negotiations, and manage the statutory process, including any necessary public inquiry. Funding for the CPO process in 2026/27 will be from the revenue budget, utilising reserves as necessary.
