Decision

RESOLVED: – That the Combined Authority Board:

1. Approved the making of a Compulsory Purchase Order pursuant to section 10 of the Transport Act 1968 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.

1. Approved the Order, Map and Schedule of Interests, and adopted the Statement of Reasons and supporting statutory documentation.

1. Authorised the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Monitoring Officer and Section 73 Officer, to:

• finalise the Order and supporting documentation;
• take all necessary steps to submit the CPO to the Secretary of State;
• make any minor or technical amendments required; and
• progress the CPO process, including negotiation, consultation and, if required, public inquiry.

1. Approved the funding of costs associated with the CPO process for 2026/27 from within the overall Combined Authority 2026/27 revenue budget, utilising reserves as necessary.
