Decision
RESOLVED: – That the Combined Authority Board:
- Approved the making of a Compulsory Purchase Order pursuant to section 10 of the Transport Act 1968 and the Acquisition of Land Act 1981.
- Approved the Order, Map and Schedule of Interests, and adopted the Statement of Reasons and supporting statutory documentation.
- Authorised the Chief Executive, in consultation with the Monitoring Officer and Section 73 Officer, to:
- finalise the Order and supporting documentation;
- take all necessary steps to submit the CPO to the Secretary of State;
- make any minor or technical amendments required; and
- progress the CPO process, including negotiation, consultation and, if required, public inquiry.
- Approved the funding of costs associated with the CPO process for 2026/27 from within the overall Combined Authority 2026/27 revenue budget, utilising reserves as necessary.
