Decision

Further to the Combined Authority Board’s Annual Meeting on the 25 June 2026 a number of consequential amendments are required in order to ensure the Constitution is correctly formatted, and to implement decisions of the Combined Authority Board.

As such the following amendments have been made to the Constitution:

Amendments made generally to the formatting of the Constitution such as removal of spaces or correction of typographical issues.

Consequential amendments made to the Constitution to implement the decision of the Combined Authority Board on the 25/06/26 to dissolve the position of Chief Operating Officer from organisational structure. As such the following constitutional documents are amended to remove reference to the Chief Operating Officer role.

Amendments have also been made to the Procedure Standing Orders to clarify the fact that, in relation to a vote on any question, such a majority must include the Mayor (or the Deputy Mayor acting in place of the Mayor). Where there is no majority vote in favour there shall be no decision.
