Purpose

On 2 October 2026, York City Council provided formal notification to the Combined Authority of a change in nomination to the Scrutiny Committee.

The change requires appointment to be made subsequent to the appointments approved at the annual meeting of the Combined Authority Board on 25 June 2026.

This appointment is approved by the Democratic Support Manager, in accordance with the notification received from the relevant partner council, in order to facilitate the timely administration of the Combined Authority’s business.

Decision

The Democratic Support Manager has confirmed the below appointment with immediate effect.

Committee Name: Scrutiny Committee.
Member appointed: Cllr Jason Rose (Labour) nominated to replace Cllr Dave Merrett (Labour) as Member of the Scrutiny Committee.
