Purpose

To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of two proposed Parallel crossings and waiting restriction changes on Roundstone Street and The Halve, Trowbridge and the proposed tree removal on Roundstone Street and to recommend an appropriate way forward.

Decision

I approve the decision set out in the attached report.

This decision was published on 27 January 2025 and will come into force on 3 February 2025.

Reasons for the decision

1. It is proposed to proceed as advertised in relation to the Parallel crossings and waiting restriction changes on Roundstone Street and The Halve. The provision of these changes allows the introduction of formal, controlled crossings to complete key parts of the active travel network and links to and from Trowbridge Town Centre.

1. It is proposed to proceed as advertised with the removal of the Whitebeam at Roundstone Street/Yerbury Street to facilitate the introduction of the proposed parallel crossing and associated infrastructure changes.
