Purpose

To consider the comments received following the formal advertisement of a Traffic Regulation Order (TRO hereafter) proposing the introduction of No Waiting at Any Time (NWAAT hereafter) restrictions in the following 8 locations:

• Deverill Road / Boot Hill (both sides)
• Coppice Close (south side)
• Norridge View / Grovelands Way
• Pampas Court / Grovelands Way
• Upper Marsh Road
• Emwell Street
• Portway
• Weymouth Street

To recommend proceeding with the introduction of the TRO as advertised.

I approve that:

(i)  The proposals be implemented as advertised.

(ii)  The objectors be advised accordingly.

This decision was published on 5 May 2026 and will come into force on 13 May 2026.

Reasons for the decision

The Council’s proposals are supported by the elected Wiltshire Council Members for Warminster, Warminster Town Council and the correspondents who wrote in during the formal TRO consultation period.

The proposals are in accordance with Priorities 2, 5 and 7 of the Council’s Business Plan.

Alternative options considered

To:

(i)    Implement the proposed TRO as advertised.

(ii)   Amend the proposed TRO in consideration of the comments received

(iii)Abandon the proposals.
