Purpose

This
report requests that the Director of Regeneration and Place agrees
to award a construction contract to Anthony Dever Construction Limited. The contract includes
internal and external construction works over a 16 working week
period. The construction works will provide alterations and
refurbishment of classrooms along with other internal and external
teaching spaces to meet the significant increase in pupil demand
for this specialist education provision.
 
The
decision supports the delivery of the Wirral Plan by providing
Brighter Futures: working together for brighter futures for our
children, young people, and their families by breaking the cycle of
poor outcomes for all regardless of their background.
 
This
decision affects the Leasowe and Moreton East Ward.
 
This is
a key decision by virtue of the cost of the contract being
in excess of £500,000.

Decision

The
Director of Regeneration and Place approved that Anthony Dever
Construction Limited be awarded the contract for an estimated 16
week contract to undertake internal and external refurbishment
works at the Observatory School (Leasowe Site) within the approved
budget and in accordance with the lowest fixed priced criteria.
This is a key decision by virtue of the cost of the contract being
in excess of £500,000.
