To appoint a number of members to the Independent School Admission Appeal Panel to undertake appeal hearings during the summer of 2023.

Resolved – That Dave Mitchell, Vicky Wilson, Fiona Clague and Sue Smith be appointed to the Independent Appeal Panel.

Reasons for the decision

To enable the members listed to undertake appeal hearings during May 2023.

Alternative options considered

The other option would be to not appoint the members listed to the Independent Appeal Panel. This was discounted as they are required to ensure that all appellants have access to an Independent Panel to hear their appeal.
