Purpose

This report seeks approval to the sale of both
the Hamilton Building and Conway Centre on the terms set out in the
report.

Decision

The Assistant
Director for Property and Investment has approved the sales of
Hamilton Building, and Conway Centre, both of Conway Street,
Birkenhead to APG (or a subsidiary company nominated by it) for the
prices as referenced in paragraph 3.2 of this
report.
 

Reasons for the decision

Policy
and Resources Committee has resolved that Hamilton Building and
Conway Centre, Birkenhead be declared surplus to requirements and
the Director of Regeneration and Place, in consultation with the
Director of Law and Corporate Services, be authorised to progress
and conclude a sale of the asset on the best terms reasonably
possible  and subject to a requirement
that the sale be conditional on obtaining planning consent for a
residential scheme
