Decision
The Director of Neighbourhoods has approved to
enter into a 3+1 Year contract with Causeway Technologies Ltd to
the value of £360,161, for the One.Network Road Works Mapping
System Renewal & ParkMap mapping system for Digital Traffic
Regulation Orders (DTRO).
Reasons for the decision
To comply with the Council’s Network
Management Duty under the Traffic Management Act 2004, the Street
Works Coordination Duty under the New Roads & Street Works Act
1991, and the new Regulatory requirements to record and submit
digitised Traffic Regulation Orders (D-TRO) to the Department for
Transport, the Council have agreed to purchase the Causeway
One.Network Road Works Mapping System & ParkMap software, on a
3+1 year contract to the total value of £360,161, using the
YPO framework 1095 Software Application Solutions Lot 4, for a
Direct Award to Causeway Technologies Ltd.
Alternative options considered
The Council have explored alternative options
and cost with Symology Ltd, but Officers concluded that the
software solution offered by Symology did not meet with the
Council’s current D-TRO and Road Works Mapping
requirements.
This is therefore a Direct Award to Causeway Technologies Ltd, in
accordance with the ‘YPO Framework Software Application
Solutions 1095 - Lot 4 Environmental, Street and Waste
Management’ document.
