Purpose

This report recommends acceptance of a tender
from Cambrianway Ltd, for A3 Civil and Highway Engineering
Works.

This contract will enable the Council to carry out essential
maintenance works to the highway.

This contract will be managed, supervised and quality assured to
enable the Council to meet its statutory duties under Section 41 of
the Highways Act 1980.

Decision

The Director of Neighbourhood Services has
approved the award
of the A3 contract for Civil and Highway Engineering works to
Cambrianway
Ltd, company number 03794254, as the most
advantageous tenderer, for an estimated initial contract value of
£21,000,000 for an initial term of 3 years with an option to
extend for 2 additional 1-year periods.

DECISION
 
This contract will enable the Council to carry
out essential highway maintenance  works to the highway. This contract will be
managed, supervised and quality assured to enable the Council to
meet its statutory duties under Section 41 of the Highways Act
1980.

Do Nothing. This was discounted as the Council
has a statutory duty under Section 41 of the Highways Act 1980 to
maintain the highway network.
