Purpose

Report to include details of the proposed designs and costs for the highways and public realm scheme in New Ferry. This is part of the wider regeneration proposals for the area.

Decision

RESOLVED – That the Environment, Climate Change and Transport Committee authorises the Director of Capital Programmes and Assets to:

1. Proceed with Option 2 as summarised in paragraph 3.10 of the report.
2. Approve a Task Order – NEC Option A with Cambrianway Limited via the existing Civil and Highway Engineering Term Service Contract to deliver the project, comprising public realm and highway improvements to the pedestrianised section and associated areas of Bebington Road, New Ferry, subject to agreement on cost and programme.
