The Executive
Resolved

That  (i)   
the retention of the Gateway Site holdings as
cleared sites in order to facilitate a scheme of regeneration is no
longer in the best interest of the authority and that a revised
asset management approach should be considered; and

         
(ii)   authority be delegated to
the Strategic Director - Corporate Resources, in consultation with
the Portfolio Holder, to proceed with a revised asset
strategy.

Reason: To secure the revitalisation
of a key town centre site and to seek, where appropriate, new
lettings to revive the Gateway Site which has been partly vacant
for a number of years and to identify external investment through
diversifying ownership.
