Purpose

The Council adopted the CAT policy in February
2024 and The Sheets Heaf Pavilion was listed as one of the assets
to transfer. Following a 2-stage process conducted between July
2024 and January 2025, in line with the CAT Policy, the CAT panel
recommend that Meadow Sports FC are successful and proceed with the
transfer of The Sheets Heaf Pavilion.
As per the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Policy, the decision to
transfer the asset was approved by the relevant member portfolio
holder (in this case Cllr Ellen Nicholson) and
authority was delegated to the Strategic Director - Communities, in
consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Communities, to take all
necessary steps to effect this decision.
