Purpose

The Council adopted the CAT policy in February
2024 and The Goldsworth Park Pavilion was listed as one of the
assets to transfer. Following a 2-stage process conducted between
July 2024 and January 2025, in line with the CAT Policy, the CAT
panel recommend that Goldsworth Park Rangers are successful and
proceed with the transfer of The Goldsworth Park Pavilion.
As per the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Policy, the decision to
transfer the asset was approved by the relevant member portfolio
holder (in this case Cllr Ellen Nicholson) and
authority was delegated to the Strategic Director - Communities, in
consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Communities, to take all
necessary steps to effect this decision.

Approved the transfer of The Goldsworth Park
Pavilion to the community group Goldsworth Park Rangers and to
enter into a license and then lease agreement once the Football
Foundation Funding has been awarded for the building.
