Purpose

The Council adopted the CAT policy in February
2024 and The Brookwood Farm Pavilion was listed as one of the
assets to transfer. Following a 2-stage process conducted between
July 2024 and January 2025, in line with the CAT Policy, the CAT
panel recommend that Woking Cougars FC are successful and proceed
with the transfer of The Brookwood Farm Pavilion.
As per the Community Asset Transfer (CAT) Policy, the decision to
transfer the asset was approved by the relevant member portfolio
holder (in this case Cllr Ellen Nicholson) and
authority was delegated to the Strategic Director - Communities, in
consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Communities, to take all
necessary steps to effect this decision.

Content

Approved the transfer of The Brookwood Farm
Pavilion to the community group Woking Cougars FC and to enter into
a license agreement, followed by a lease when the funding is
granted from the Football Foundation for the building.

Reasons for the decision

Due to the Council's financial situation,
community assets are being transferred to community groups to
manage.
