Purpose

To approve various housing operational policies covering compliance, maintenance and management of our housing stock.

Decision

The Executive Resolved

That (i)   the Rent Arrears Policy be approved;

        (ii) the Gas Safety Policy be approved;

        (iii) the Electrical Safety Policy be approved;

        (iv) the Housing Repairs and Maintenance Policy be approved, as amended; and

        (v)  the Strategic Director – People and Communities, in consultation with the Portfolio Holder for Housing, be authorised to make minor amendments to the Policies as required.

Reason:  To ensure that the Council has up-to-date and transparent policies in place that meet the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing and Consumer Standards.
