Purpose

To agree that the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan be made part of the Woking Development Plan pursuant to Section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended).

Decision

The Executive Resolved

That  (i)    the Byfleet Neighbourhood Plan be made pursuant to section 38A(4) of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004 (as amended), following a majority vote in favour at referendum on 7 May 2026; and

          (ii)   it be confirmed that the Plan shall form part of the statutory development plan for the Woking Borough Council’s geographical area.

Reason: The Council is obliged to make the Neighbourhood Plan as soon as reasonably practical, and in any event, within 8 weeks of the referendum, that is by 2 July 2026.
