Purpose

To provide an update to the Shadow Executive on the Implementation Plan as part of regular reporting on the status of the LGR programme in Surrey.

Decision

Resolved

That     (i)     updates be received on the Implementation Plan (set out in Annex 3 to the report) and the approach to assurance and monitoring for the LGR programme and transition to the new council including progress tracking against critical milestones. Future updates to include the outcome of Recommendation (ii);

            (ii)    it be noted that the Leader will be receiving further advice from the Head of Paid Service in due course to consider the introduction of a formal and informal governance arrangement with East Surrey Shadow Authority, for matters that have an interdependency; and

            (iii)    the approach being taken to fulfil the recommendations agreed at the West Surrey Shadow Authority meeting on 21 May that relate to the implementation programme be noted.
