Purpose

This report informs the Executive of the
progress of the Council in delivering its capital programme for the
financial year 2024/2025 Q3

Content

RESOLVED
that the Executive:

1)   
noted the position of the capital programme at the
end of Quarter 3 (to 31 December 2024) as summarised in the report
below and set out in detail in Appendix A to the report;

2)   
approved and noted the proposed carry forwards in
the capital programme as set out in Appendix B;

3)   
noted and approved the following budget adjustments
to the capital programme which include;
 
a)
An additional £500,000 to complete the enhancements to
Bluebell House Nursing Home. The additional budget will be used to
support additional works including external windows, redecoration
of communal areas and staff facilities. This additional budget will
be funded from the capital contingency budget.
b)
An additional £36,000 capital budget in 2024/25 towards
toilet & corridor improvements at Robert Piggott Infant School.
This additional budget requirement is funded from a donation
received to the Council.
c) A
reduction of £180,327 in the schools devolved capital budget
due to a number of schools that have transferred to Academy Status
and the grant received is now paid to the Academy Trustees. The
revised budget will match the ringfenced grant funding received
from the DfE.
d)
An additional £18,000 capital budget in 2024/25 towards
Loddon Swimming Pool Cover. The additional contribution is to be
funded in full from a ringfenced grant secured from Sport England
swimming pool support fund grant.
