Purpose

The purpose of this report is to present the
WBC SEND Sufficiency Statement for approval. This document sets out
forecast pupil numbers requiring a specialist placement in
Wokingham over the next five years, alongside the current / planned
supply of places. This provides the basis for a Gap Analysis and
consequent recommendations as to how to meet forecast places supply
shortfalls. The report will seek approval from the executive to
formally adopt the SEND Sufficiency Statement.

RESOLVED
that the Executive:
 

1)    
noted the content of the SEND Sufficiency Statement
2025-30 and, in particular, the ‘Recommendations’ for
the development of additional specialist capacity in future
years.

2)    
formally approved the adoption of the SEND
Sufficiency Statement 2025-30.

3)    
noted the capital requirements for delivery will for
part of future Medium Term Financial Plan
considerations.
