Freehold sale of the former Westmead Day
Centre site on Rances Lane to Aymia Properties Ltd (Inspire Day
Nurseries) following a competitive sales process.

Reasons for the decision

In September 2025 the Executive resolved that
following the relocation of the Physical Disabilities Day Service
to Matthewsgreen Community Centre, the
Westmead property should be put on the market for disposal.
Delegated authority was granted to the Director of Resources

Alternative options considered

15 bids were submitted for the property.
Considerations of the bids was given relating to value, certainty
of sale, timing of receipt of funds, proposed use of the site and
risks relating to planning (which was higher for conditional
bids).
