Purpose

The purpose of the report is to seek approval to vary Wokingham Borough Council’s contract with Places Leisure to introduce an Agency Model approach.

Decision

That the Executive

1)    agrees that the Council proceeds with the variation to the leisure contract with Places Leisure to move to an Agency Model arrangement on the terms set out in the report; and

2)    delegates authority to the Deputy Chief Executive/Director of Resources and Assets in consultation with the Leader of the Council, and the Head of Legal, to vary the existing contract to an Agency Model arrangement and enter into all necessary or ancillary agreements to fully implement and effect the proposals.
