Purpose

To approve a Community Asset Transfer of part
of the former Dudley Road School.

Content

1.    
That a Community Asset Transfer to Blakenhall Action Community
Forum (BACF) of the premises currently occupied by them for a term
of up to 35 years on full-repairing and insuring terms be
approved.

 

2.    
That authority be delegated to the Cabinet Member for Governance
and Equalities in consultation with the Deputy Director of Assets,
to complete the Community Asset Transfer and lease.

 

3.    
That the former school building and adjoining land be declared
surplus to the Council’s requirements and that it can be
offered for sale freehold in the open market.

 

4.    
That authority be delegated to the Cabinet Member for Governance
and Equalities in consultation with the Deputy Director of Assets,
to agree Heads of Terms and approve the disposal in accordance with
agreed Heads of Terms.
