Purpose
The Council has established a Dynamic
Purchasing System (DPS) consisting of suitable providers who
deliver transport services to eligible Children and Young People
(0-25) with Special Educational Needs and/or Disability and provide
transport for Adult Social Care (ASC) people who have an assessed
eligible social care need. The DPS is also available to other
Council services who have an ad-hoc requirement for transport
services
Content
1.
Approved the extension of current contracts, where value for money
has been evidenced. The current expenditure for services provided
under the DPS is £10,050,082
2.
Approved further contract awards to be made upon completion of the
evaluation process, for the duration of the 5-year extended term of
the Dynamic Purchasing System, from 1 September 2024 to 31 August
2029. The total contract value including any contract extensions
and the award of new contracts via the DPS, will not exceed the
value of £34m (£3.4m per annum) originally approved by
CRP on 21 May 2019.
