Purpose
To refer to Council for approval and
publication of the Pay Policy Statement 2025-2026.
Content
That Council be recommended to approve:
1.
The Pay Policy Statement for 2025-2026 and data contained within
the appendices to the report.
2.
The publication of the Pay Policy Statement and data in line with
the requirements of the Localism Act 2011.
3.
The posts that have been redesignated/deleted within the West
Midlands Pension Fund as detailed within this report (Section 2.13)
and listed in Appendix 4 to the report.
That Council be recommended to note:
1.
That the NJC and JNC national pay awards for 2025-2026 has not been
agreed, at the time of writing the Pay Policy Statement.
2.
That this pay policy has also been updated to
include the nationally agreed JNC and NJC pay awards for 2024-2025
and the pay scale amendments agreed at Full Council on 6 November
2025.
3.
The financial implications for the changes to posts within the WMPF
will be contained within the existing budget, with a
modest increase over the medium term as post holders receive annual
increments (subject to performance appraisal process).
