That the direct award of a contract for City Development Programme
Support to Arcadis (UK) Limited of 80 Fenchurch Street, London,
EC3M 4BY for a duration of 12 months from 1 April 2025 to 31 March
2026 for a total contract value of £498,365.04 be
approved.
2.
That progress against
the three priority regeneration schemes during financial year
2024-2025 as articulated in section 3.0 of the report be
noted.
3.
That it be noted, the
£843,000 budget for progressing the Smithgate (formerly known
as City Centre West) and St George’s regeneration schemes to
March 2026 is funded from the Regeneration Reserve. This funding
was approved by Council on 26 February 2025 in the Our Future
Council – 2025-2026 Budget and Medium-Term Financial Strategy
2025-2026 to 2027-2028 report.
4.
That it be noted, the
£455,000 budget for progressing the Green Innovation Corridor
(GIC) scheme is funded by capital grant, which is included in the
latest approved capital programme approved by Council on 26
February 2025 in the Out Future Council – Capital Programme
2024-2025 to 2028-2029 Quarter Three Review and 2025-2026 to
2029-2030 Budget Strategy report.
5. That it be noted, the Council would
seek to secure additional grant funding during 2025-2026 to
mitigate the use of reserves to support the ongoing delivery of
these projects for Wolverhampton. These would be progressed through
supplementary budget approvals in line with financial procedure
rules, as appropriate.
