Purpose

The policy sets out the non statutory
Government guidance on how the Council will use its powers when
seeking a banning order against a landlord or property agent in the
private rented sector.

Content

1.     
That the Private Sector Housing Banning Order Policy attached at
Appendix 1 to the report be approved.

 

2.     
That authority be delegated to the Deputy Leader: City Housing in
consultation with the Executive Director of Economy, to make minor
editorial changes to the Banning Order Policy when necessary.
