Purpose

1.Note the introduction of the new Neonatal
Care (Leave and Pay) Act 2023 which received royal assent on 23 May
2023 and came into force on 6 April 2025.
2.Approve the revised Support for Carers Policy and note the
revisions to the Maternity Guidance Packs as a result of the
legislation change for adoption within the City of Wolverhampton
Council.
3.Note the actions taken to date to update the organisation and the
work undertaken with Payroll and Agresso teams on the changes as a
result of the new legislation.
