Purpose

The report is to request Cabinet’s
approval for the report proposals which enable the delivery of the
agreed savings related to the Our Future Council – Our Assets
Programme.

Content

1.    
That the approach and principles of the Our Future Council –
Our Assets Programme be approved.

 

2.    
That the assets listed within Appendix 1 to the report be declared
surplus to Council requirements.

 

3.    
That authority be delegated to the Cabinet Member for City
Development, Jobs and Skills and Cabinet Member for Resources in
consultation with Director of City Development and Section 151
Officer, to approve asset disposals related to the Our Future
Council – Our Assets programme where assets have been
declared surplus to Council requirements in accordance with the
Constitution.

 

4.    
That authority be delegated to the Cabinet Member for City
Development, Jobs and Skills and Cabinet Member for Resources in
consultation with Director of City Development and Section 151
Officer, to approve the leasing of assets above a seven-year
duration as part of the Our Future Council - Our Assets programme
in accordance with the Constitution.

 

5.    
That authority be delegated to the Cabinet Member
for City Development, Jobs and Skills and Cabinet Member for
Resources, in consultation with Director of City Development and
Section 151 Officer, to approve the Council to enter into agreement
for the leases for the lettings of i9 and i10.

 

6.    
That it be noted, the report would be considered by Resources and
Equality Scrutiny Panel on 11 September 2025.
