That the Cabinet Member forCity Transport, the Cabinet Member for Resources and the Cabinet Member for City
Development, Jobs and Skills in consultation
with the Section 151 Officer and the Director
of City Economy and Partnerships:
1.   
Approve a new reduced rate of £2 across all
Council-operated car parks (excluding St Peters and Civic Centre),
from 5pm to 5am to support businesses and to deliver one of the key
elements of the city’s ENTE Strategy.
 
2.   
Approve a new all-day fee of £3.50 (up to 12
hours 5am – 5pm) at Fold Street and St George’s car
park to support the day-time economy.
 
3.   
Replace the interim St George’s car park
tariffs with the Council’s tariffs for Fold Street (day time
and evening flat rates as per recommendations 1 and 2
above)
 
4.   
Approve tariff amendments at Civic Centre car park
to:
·       
Replace the existing £15 for 12-hour maximum
stay to a 24-hour maximum stay, and
·       
Introduce a new rate of £10 for over 4 hours
and up to 12 hours, replacing the existing £15
rate.
 
5.   
Approve the amendment to St Peters car park tariffs
to bring it in line with all other Zone 3 car park tariffs,
excluding the evening charge, due to its proximity to the Civic
Centre:
·      
Up to 1 hour - £1.50
·      
Up to 2 hours - £3.00
·      
Up to 3 hours - £4.50
·      
Up to 4 hours - £5.50
·      
Up to 12 hours - £8.00
 
6.   
Approve reduced amendments to seasonal parking rates
at Fold Street and St Peters.
 
7.   
Approve the changes to fees and charges to take
effect from Wednesday 1 April 2026.
