Purpose

A decision is required in relation to a
virement from the Higher Needs Capital Programme budget to fund
Phase 1 of the expansion of Broadmeadow Special school. The
expansion is required to accommodate the increase in pupils from 54
to 75.

Content

1.   
Approved the virement of £850,000.00 from
the currently approved capital budget High Needs Capital
Programme – Future Schemes to a budget to fund Broadmeadow
Special School expansion phase 1, which will include a grant of
part of the sum to the Central Learning Partnership Trust for the
expansion works.
2.   
Authorised the Chief Operating Officer to enter into or execute or
seal grant agreement between the Trust and Council, extend the
Whitmore Reans Strengthening Families Hub lease and any legal
documentation in relation to the scheme as deemed necessary in
respect of the above-mentioned paragraph.
