Purpose

This report seeks approval to create a supplementary revenue of £206,000 per year for three years (total of £618,00) from the West Midlands Combined Authority to support delivery of Local Enterprise Support.

Decision

1. Approved entering into a Grant Funding Agreement with WMCA for the delivery of Local Enterprise Support activity to deliver local, place-based business support provision aligned to the WMCA outcomes and the council’s economic priorities.
2. Approved the establishment of supplementary revenue budgets for income and expenditure of £206,000 in 2026-2027.
3. Noted the risks highlighted at 1.6 and 4.4, arising due to there not currently being a signed grant agreement in place.
